"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So I'm definitely not going out. Ah well!

Well, now the mice won't be lonely.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm going to visit my folks with my niece (who leaves tomorrow morning), and then take her out for Asian or Mexican food, and then go to a party. Which I think is a good way to wrap up the year...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, now the mice won't be lonely.

Oh yeah! The sonic deterrent thing works! So that's good.

Ugh. I am having people over, but I am in a grumpy grumpy mood, and found a stain on the dry-clean-only shirt I was going to wear, and my roommate has decided now is the perfect time to make soup in the slow cooker...and cook it for the next seven hours through the party. Is it just me or is that WEIRD?! I don't want the house smelling of carrot soup, especially if that's not something we are offering guests!! She's like "Oh, well, it won't be through that much of the party", and I"m like "you just told me it cooks for 6-8 hours. It's 4pm and you haven't finished chopping veggies. WTF"

We are having wings and watching the Disney animated Alice in Wonderland. I do not think I have ever seen it before.

It's not so true to the book but it does have things I quite like on their own merit.

Also, I love Pogo's remix of the sdtrk.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Wrong thread.

Three Papa Murphy's pizza's in the fridge along with some soda. Chips & dip and a thing of red vines. Last time I wandered out, we were up to 4 boys, including CJ. Not sure if they have figured which game they are playing yet...each brought a pile so there are choices aplenty.

I'm hiding in my room. Working (wtf, I was supposed to be taking today off). I'm adding a bunch of lines to an existing schedule in MS Project and they are not doing what I want them to do. Arrrrrggggggg. This file is HUGE too, which makes me afraid I'm screwing it up more than helping.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Not going out tonight. Am picking up salt and pepper shrimp. Next, Doctor Who.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

We went over to the neighbors' apartment for the traditional Smashing Of The Gingerbread Houses With Rolling Pins, which the kids enjoy quite a bit. Now we're home and putting kids to bed, and then it's back over to the neighbors' for a formal grown-up five course dinner. These neighbors entertain very well - they're both fabulous cooks, and he is the best bartender I know. We had champagne cocktails (with cognac and chartreuse) earlier while the kids were nomming the gingerbread.
