We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm pretty sure that most of these traditions are just Ashkenazic. And I know that German Jews are more OK with giving someone the same name as a living person than Eastern European Jews are. German Jews who came to the US would frequently imitate the "American" traditions and name the first son after the father, while Eastern European Jews who came to the US would almost never do that.

A friend of mine is Ashkenazic and her husband is Sephardic. They named their son for his living father, she felt weird about it... and felt weird about feeling weird about it.

And of all the things to be irritated about... Kevin Clash isn't a voice actor, he's a puppeteer.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I expect the Keystone Kops will be arriving soon.

Wow, this is really not working out well for her.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

but you are getting the money back? it is not your loss?

I haven't even paid the bill on most of it yet, thankfully. Hopefully I can get it crossed off with much to do, but since they've already closed the account, I'm not foreseeing any issues.

It's just...what did I do? Did I do something? Is there something I can stop doing? Or is it beyond my control and just the chance of the draw?

I hate that niggling feeling.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Sounds like your bank has your back. At least so far. May it continue in that direction.

We hit up Ikea yesterday and I finally purchased a new TV table and some DVD shelving. I have been looking at a bunch of different stores for what was available and finally decided that I like the look I found at Ikea the best. I put the table unit together last night. Then I put all 4 of the shelving units together this evening. We have shifted furniture and DVDs and I'm pretty happy with the results. I posted a picture on FB.

But now my right hand is sore (yeah, yeah, I've heard the jokes from the family already). I'm about ready to book a massage and ask her to just work on my hands for half the time. Except I gave all my money to Ikea.
