A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Wedding talk funny!

Officially sick. Fever, swollen throat glands, pain in throat and ears, headache. Tonsilitis, strep or sinus. Anyone want to place bets on which?

And I have work AND supposed to be hosting NYE with a kids sleepover. And the car we left here when we went to IA won't start (cold or battery, I think), we have $14 till Monday and I think I might cry because I really want to spend time with M,but if I'm contagious, I can't, and they're downstairs watching The Two Towers, which was my idea, and I feel too shitty to think about watching it, but I want too,and I just woke up from a nap, because I had to lay down, and I need to lay down again, and my head hurts too bad to read and that means I am SICK and I fucking am mad at Santa, because this is a shitty present.

I am going to drink all my water now, and hope the Tylenol kicks in. Sorry about the whine, but I know Dan feels badly enough and I don't want to spoil M's vaca here (he goes back 1/1) with stupid whiny...whining.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Damn, now I want to get ordained too, but only if I can do battle dressed as Paintball!Annie.

From S2, right? Because I think that is a splendid idea.

My SIL's prescription naproxen was a godsend for the aches (500 mg, I think? she's one a holy-hell maintenance dose cause the army fucked up her knee) I honestly think that helped as much as the day/ny-quil to beat the worst of this cold. I hope you just have what I did- I basically slept a day after feeling like I'd been run over and then the sinus stuff was an afterthought (though not forgotten, I could tell my breathing still isn't right during my swim) once everything stopped hurting everywhere.

I will be seeking out OTC versions to abuse for future pain. Cause aspirin, tyl and advil kinda don't work anymore with me. But that naproxen was the shit!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aleve = naproxen, I believe. My preferred painkiller.

I hope you feel better tomorrow, Strix.

I'd always avoided it thinking there was caffeine involved (I don't know why I thought that?) cause I know exactly how I can take my caffeine, and in meds is not one.

OH HAI POLICE HELICOPTER LIGHTING UP MY STAINED GLASS!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oooh, I bet that is pretty. But not fun. I hope they find what or who they are looking for and stop the pretty light show quickly.

Very much so. They seemed to be running along Ellerslie and Chestnut Hill (I find it kind of hilarious I now can tell exactly what streets are being followed-partly because I know the area, partly because I too know the crime/flee patterns here,) so car spotting. Still hear it, but am not getting all lit up anymore.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Opinion question: if I wake up tomorrow and the root canal side of my face still hurts and feels swollen and a little warm to the touch, should I go to urgent care for antibiotics, to be followed by dentist on Wednesday, or try for emergency dentist services?

sarameg - Dec 28, 2012 6:50:52 pm PST #5909 of 30001

I'd call the dentist/ er dentist in the morning to see what they advise. My dentist will call in an emergency script/open the office for urgent issues (which I learned AFTER I'd suffered for 2 days in need of a root canal because I was stupid stubborn and waited until office hours. I could have NOT been in pain...)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Antibiotics. But call your dentist and see if hey can just call in a scrip.

I'd always avoided it thinking there was caffeine involved (I don't know why I thought that?)

You're thinking of excedrin.
