I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I would pony up, meara. I heard they just upgraded the winter storm warning to a blizzard warning in Indy. I know you have family so you wouldn't be stuck at a hotel, but the aggravation might be worth that price.

Happy Christmas, all. It snowed amazingly yesterday, and enough sun has poked through to mostly melt the roads and walkways, which is all I ask of winter in Utah.

Sadly, my stomach doesn't seem to handle grease too well anymore, so the Christmas morning bacon is not the unalloyed delight it should be.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Merry Day, 'ffistas! I know you're all dying to know that the candle clips have been found, and the tree will shortly be bedecked with Actual Candles.

Coffee and breakfast (Bob's eight-grain cereal with walnuts and craisins, num!) have been had, and the fire is currently crackling, courtesy of Netflix. There may be movie-age later. Or just napping and dozing and reading by the fire. Our snow is liquid, but the sound of it falling makes the fire all the cozier.

Hot chocolate, tea, or cranberry juice mulled with spices later. I love easy decisions with positive outcomes no matter what.

It would be, maybe, if I hadn't already spent $600 on the flight plus a night in a hotel in Houston. I would've easily said yes for $100. But my sister suggested I tweet them, and they were useless at first ( though they did respond that all the flights were full). I responded that delta and southwest were already allowing people to change flights and suddenly they responded "can you be there in time for the 345 flight to Chicago? A seat just opened up" and bam, I am at the gate awaiting boarding. Fingers crossed this goes as smoothly as it should.

Merry Christmas to thems that celebrate. Prezzies are unwrapped and a sugar high is burbling. K-Bug netted about 30 animated movies and a Kuerig. CJ has a bunch of new geek shirts and tickets to see Jeff Dunham. I have more Leverage and Supernatural. K-Bug's bf liked his tools.

Giving is better than receiving, right? Cause none of us received anything from the bf.

No idea, msbelle. I'm trying to take the high road and not care. Not working too well but I'm trying. A card or a small Starbucks gift card. Some acknowledge ment of gift exchange. Is that really too much to hope for?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It's snowing here. It's actually kind of cool, since I don't need to go anywhere.
