Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Check your email?

If my email client autoplays music, then I need to get a safer one. It doesn't count if I play it--I already have it. I want to accidentally hear it. Thanks, though.

Okay--someone just pointed this out, and it's irritating. If I do a google image search with safesearch off, the results look like google.co.uk with safesearch on. This is the .com search for "cock", and for me, it's pretty tame. The UK version has the decency to have two penises before the first bird.

Am I googling wrong?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I had a feeling that wouldn't work, but it seemed worth a shot.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

juliebird, luckily most people don't notice or remember that kind of stuff after the event is over. which is good, because I often have loose threads or smudged mascara or whatever.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh Jesse, I'm so sorry. It's been just over a year since I had to put Byron down.

The dumbass was still headbutting me weakly in the exam room as I waited, which gave all sorts of pangs, but he went purring, the jerk. I preferred that to him being so miserable that there wasn't that.
This was him, too. It broke my heart, but it was the right time.

I'm having a really awful day. Found out that one of my colleagues has lung cancer (no word on prognosis officially, but he's on indefinite leave, and it doesn't sound good). Fuck cancer.

Also, my AP Lit seniors are ANGSTY MCANGSTERPANTS and can't handle the fact that they aren't all getting A's even though not a SINGLE ONE OF THEM is getting anything below a B. They are giving me ulcers. Oh, and their surveys tell me I am a terrible teacher who is too structured (read: has a lesson plan) and hard and did they mention they really really really really think that they deserve to get A's?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I haven't worked out how to accidentally hear Do They Know It's Christmas.

Hey ita, did you see this picture of Idris Elba barefoot, wet and wearing glasses making out with Helen Mirren?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I'm trying to be festive. I am.

In the spirit, I bring you Mimi, The Roots, Jimmy Fallon in an unexpectedly fun version of "All I Want for Christmas is You."

Our wings are not tired.

Oh how I love those kids in the front who keep popping up, grinning from ear to ear.

Thank you for that, LN.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That video is the best. I can't decide who in it is my favorite.

OK, today is the day. I made Homer get out of the covers, and he dragged himself over to the food/water, but really can't walk.

Jesse, I chose when MK was tottery and just about to move into not-MK territory. Still mobile and there was MK there, but not for much longer (he'd quit eating a day or two before.)

It's this. And today turns out to be a good day for my mother to drive me and I think for me to miss work, so the vet better have a time for me to come in! (I'm sure they will.)

hip deep in pie

Aw, I'm sorry Jesse.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, Jesse. It is such a difficult part of being all responsible and stuff. I was concerned for my Georgia, but she elected to take advantage of her cat door and run away about a month ago. After a decade or so of having that option I had to accept why she left. Sucks to not know for sure, but it was not surprising that that would be her choice.

smacks Pix's kids up side the head and gives them Cs.

le n, Oh my that was fun! Good stuff indeed.

Also, David, I see that you did there. And heartily approve.
