Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now, I don't think your boss deserves the key to your social media accounts, but if you're going to show your dirty underpinnings in public, WITH YOUR NAME AND PHOTO, oh, so very sad for you

Yeah, people are stupid. Also, he got the wrong slur!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, that's frustrating. I want horrible things to happen to everyone who calls anyone a sand nigger as a consequence of having done so.

Personal responsibility, people! Read the Cracked article! (But not the comments)

I did find a site that archived people's tweets. I didn't stay around long enough to see if it was opt in or not, but good lord. Doesn't take much to be a business model, does it?

Which reminds me, I forgot to line up a week of provocateuse posts yesterday. Didn't even pick a theme...must ponder on the drive home...

I just did an image search in order to find a teacup pig on tumblr, and the first proper hit (there's a nude man tucking his jewels in that batch of *safe* results) was the good stuff tumblr.

Which I should totally have predicted, because apparently my reflex way of searching for teacup pigs is "poquito". Ahah.

I went to a new optometrist today. My eyes are healthy! Prescription hasn't changed! I have new contact lenses to try, and I spent a very large amount of money on two new pairs of eyeglasses. One set of frames is dark brown with funky gold highlights and tortoiseshell arms, and the other is purple with teal around the lenses.

Then I accidentally got myself some things while picking up a present for my brother-in-law at the fancy booze store.

Man, today all your conspicuous consumption are belong to me.

Ha!

And the fact that I just hit J the first time reminded me of a funny thing I saw on facebook recently: The comment was "jajajaja" and FB offered to translate it for me. Bing translated it as "lol." Which made me laugh.

I've now bought 3 gift. I get $10 off giftcards through my credit card, and they had Kohl's, which my SIL can go to town at. So there's that. t /totally failing at xmas shopping this year

And I've now hit the panic state at both work and home regarding going out of town for the holidays. I'm trying to offload my psycho into lists. When decanting cookies to give away causes panic, that's bad.

I have a plumber in my kitchen, which is freaking my dog the fuck out. She is anxiously watching everything he does, which is basically what she did to me when I got her five years ago.

But yay I shall have a new faucet that works.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

New faucets rock!

My sister, bless, sent a giant box of stuff -- chocolates, alcohol, coffee and a book for the kids. So I ordered Burdick chocolate penguins and snowmen and am having them airshipped to her.

My mom made an amazing and beautiful rug for us, which also came today. As did a Henry & David tower of fruit, candy and nuts.

Grace's school got her an iPad for communication so now she has one at home (thanks Lee!) and at school to communicate. She's getting better at the AAC software, but still so slow to communicate.

Twins had an evening that was a comedy of error. It included Grace peeing on the floor, leaving an unknown puddle where two pattern blocks were sitting, then Noah peeing on Grace since she was going too slow for his tastes with the potty, to me picking up the pattern block pieces. Kids are killing me.
