OTOH, a stoner slacker dog is much more likely to just loaf around in the lab doorway amiably snoozing and much less likely to careen around looking frantically for a Job To Do and ploughing into centrifuges and coolers of dry ice and such.
An organization here, Catholic Charities, maybe?, sent a team of 10 stoner slacker dogs (with handlers) to hang with relatives and victims in Newtown.
brenda m: here's pictures of the dogs.
Made me sniffly. Well-behaved Goldens are the best. (And to be fair, even the Demon Dog has her marvelous moments. She just has too much energy and smarts right now.)
When I was hospitalized for a month a few years ago there was a therapy dog that came to visit, and I can honestly say it really helped raise my spirits.
OK, here is the most bizarre, inspiring thing I've read in quite a while. Apparently my motivation needs me to be sworn at and made to laugh.

I think I'm done shopping and am all wrapped except for stocking stuffers. I don't think I've been this organized in years. Now I'm just doing my best not to give into mindless consumerism and buy more stuff just cuz.
In Chez Suzi news, the boyfriend is back. He is still looking for work but is cleaning in liu of paying his way. I'll take it. We had a good talk today and things are better. Big test will be when Kelly wants to do something without him. Though, with the holidays fast approaching, everyone is so busy, that there probably won't be a test of that for a while.
