In my neighborhood, "Have a happy merry and a merry happy" is an acceptable variation.

I like "Merry Christmas" because it can be easily slurred into something short, "Mer' Chris'mas". Happy Holidays needs to be enunciated more to be intelligible.

Being married to a Jewish dude, I have mostly switched to Happy Holidays, but sometimes revert to Merry Christmas out of habit.

It's a bad narrative, but it wasn't a terrible baseball deal. They got two quality cost controlled players going forward and they really need to rebuild their entire system. Their drafts have been shitty and the Wilpons shittier.
