"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The worst part to me is that it seems that getting the right care requires a lot from the patient, and I know from personal experience that it's hard to advocate for yourself when you're sick or in pain. In a perfect world, the proper care would come from the doctor, not the patient.

... and my sink just broke. So tomorrow I get to call a plumber and an electrician. Woot.

Good thing I got paid today.

Houses lie in wait and attack when you're most vulnerable.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am in on the advocate too.

LALALALA, I can't hear you

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Another ER would never work. My doctor has no privileges anywhere else, and they have no reason to pay any attention to his letter or let me write my (apparently unbelievable) script..

I've texted my cousin to tell her I can't make it, and I need to work out if I can get money back from American. I can't get admitted to hospital before Monday, and that's when I was supposed to be going back to work! I go home on Thursday.

If someone could just tell me what giving up looks like, I'll definitely head in that direction. I have a phenergan prescription (no, it's never worked before), and I don't know anything else. Right. I need to cancel the airline shuttle too.

I'm so tired. I a=haven't eaten anything other than graham crackers since breakfast, and my phone wasn't working at the pharmacy so I walked home instead of working out how to involve strangers in calling a cab, and that's the closest to exercise I've done in years. But it was way easier than humans. When the homeless people apologise to you you know you're looking on top of your game.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh ita, I wish you had called me from the pharmacy, although I do get your point about sometimes it's easier than humans. What a totally fucked up day.

I don't get why your doctor isn't advocating for you. I kinda want to punch that smug resident, and I'm really not the type to want to punch people.

I really want me and Vortex to be with ita in the ER, spewing lawyerly and medical bitchface until they do what's right. Damn.
