Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

You can enable View->Show Sidebar in iTunes 11 to get something like the old look back.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

iTunes 11 was just a visual slap in the face. I'm sure I'll be used to it in a day or so, but wow does it look different!

If you go up to "View-->Show sidebar" and then turn on Column Browser, it will look more or less like the old versions.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

Yeah, I'm clicking around and seeing all that. And different is fine! Obviously these things get changed and updated for a reason. It just took me by complete surprise, is all!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So far I'm liking iTunes 11 a lot. Which is a little weird as I am so used to the old version.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

ita, when I was buying TJ snacks for the infusion center nurses, I included whatever I saw that looked good and could be eaten on the run, like cookies and filled pretzels and nut based mixes. I pretty much just walked down the cookies/candy aisle and the nuts/trail mix aisles and grabbed whatever caught my eye. I was told that having non-sweet stuff in there was good, but that stuff lasted a bit longer than the sweets.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They have $10 popcorn tins!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Or snacks that can be distributed about the workspace?

On the job snacks, pretty much.

I have never bought trail mix in my *life*. Last time I think it was mini brownies, but that was boring and lame.

Pretzels are a good non-sweet option. Another thing I don't eat so I never think of.

I should just give them a bunch of stuff in trade for the graham crackers which are still CRACKers. When I'm in for migraines and admitted, I get "free" meals, but with nausea, the most boring--plain toasted bagel, applesauce, bran flakes and soy milk, and chamomile tea. Because I have discovered the upper limit of graham crackers, which I thought was impossible.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy birthday, Consuela!!!
