Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Wahoo Scrappy!

Ah, this is what I need: a couple of cookies and a nice long Narnia/Torchwood crossover.

Oooooooh. Do you have the link handy?

It's on the AO3, if you go to the Narnia fandom page it's like the second story, by Burntcopper.

TBH, it had quite a number of typos (it was a NANO project and posted without beta), but the Pevensies are all deadly and unflappable, and I found it entertaining to watch Jack Harkness try to figure out how they got to be so competent.

Thanks, I'll look it up! I could use a dose of the Pevensies being all deadly and unflappable.

So last night I came home to find a very large box on our doorstep, which turned out to contain a bunch of picture books from my aunt & uncle & cousins, for Rose. Not only did they choose and collect all the books they loved when the girls (my cousins) were young -- around 40 books! -- they signed them all when the girls were home for Thanksgiving. It was honestly one of the loveliest and most thoughtful baby gifts we've received, and I got SO excited about reading all these great books with Rose. So cool.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, there's a newish person in my division, who I was sort of staring at in our meeting this morning, until I realized she looks like smonster!

Oh Kate, that's so sweet! I just got "Now We Are Six" for my four-year-old cousin, and maybe I'll write something in it.
