The dog and I were just quite startled by a series of thumps and metallic clatter. I had loosely tied the top of a recycling bag, and it had slowly untied and dropped one can or bottle at a time. This is the kind of thing that creates ghost stories.
There was a serious carbon monoxide leak at a local school, which had to be evacuated. A TV newsperson asked a first grader what happened, and he said, "The teacher was talking, and we passed out."

I have discovered a lovely supermarket cheese, garlic-herb Monterey Jack, from Kroger's Private Selection brand. So very yummy. It's like eating really good spaghetti sauce without the tomato.
