Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, msbelle! That sounds really scary all the way around.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

Naan. Hands down on the best bready thing in the world.

Mmm. Naan is amazing.

I don't know that I have a particular favorite re: kinds of bread, but I feel like the best thing one can put ON bread is tzatziki. We ate so much of that while we were in Greece there was probably cause for alarm.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Garlic bread is the best thing in the world.

I'm with Dana.

msbelle, that is super scary. I hope Mac calms down and that your throat starts feeling better. (There is a bending over a chair self-Heimlich, do you know about that?)

And hi zuisa! Good to see your pixels. Can't wait to hear some stories about your travels.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have no garlic bread. No nan. No homemade tamales. No bready goodness. But I have Trader Joe's nummies. Probably shouldn't make dinner out of them, but oh, I'd love to.

Lee - CJ inhaled the chocolate covered pomegranate seeds. Like, I never got one.

K-Bug is at work, CJ is leaving for karate, I'm going to have the apartment to myself for 90 minutes. WOOOOOOOT!!!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac has calmed down. he informed me he does not want to lose me. I refrained from screaming Duh.

I do know the self-Heimlich, but my recliner (where I am sitting) is the wrong height.

wth is that thing on Christina's head #the voice.

Your tv tables, on your knees or just holding them up against a kitchen counter.

I'm hoping tonight doesn't plague mac too much. Cause that shit is scary.

Devi is kinda worn out. Given how she carried on when they were trying to get blood, can't say I'm surprised. (I was expecting it, and even I was taken aback at some of the noises that came from her. She upset all the dogs in the kennels and the office cats were looking anxiously at the door.)

They said it was hard to believe that such a sweet-looking, 15 year old cat could move the way she did or get so evil (my words, they just called her "upset.") I'm like, I love her and she is a pretty little thing, but she is quite a little tyrant and woe to someone who challenges that. With sharp teeth.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Cats, man.

I just emailed a friend to see if she would give me a ride when it's time for Homer to be put down (not right now, but soon, I'm afraid), and I forgot she used to be a vet tech -- she offered to come over if he could use sub-q fluids or anything. So nice!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

A rule? Why? It keeps your shells.

It took me a while to attach this to a context, and I'm damned glad it wasn't msbelle's.

Hey, while I'm on the topic--msbelle, what Mac said. Not interested in losing you, so stop it. Yikes.

I swore to myself I was going to get all this shit written up tonight for the consultant, but I just finished a 45 minute conversation with the boss about immigration and travel (his father is younger than mine...please don't let him be younger than me) and there's no way I'm actually writing up the rest of the test cases before I go home.

I will send her what I have, and she will get more tomorrow.

That's a good friend, Jesse, and I don't mean that in the useful way, although she is clearly also that.

Punishingly Intricate

yikes, msbelle, that's terrifying! Glad you are okay and hope mac is not too traumatized.

aw, Jesse, it's good you have a friend who will be there to support you when the time comes.

Scrappy, I don't know if it is a strategy that helps, but sometimes pretending to not give a fuck helps.

Yes! I have to try that strategy at work more. Scrappy, hope you surprise yourself on that test!

Tomorrow is our anniversary and Bob has to go to Chicago. I'm joining him on Wednesday so it's not so bad but I wanted to do something for him since we'll be apart anniversary night. I called the hotel and they are going to have scotch and chocolate waiting in his room. He gets "amenities" when he checks in due to his super loyal customer status but they are doing these ones special per my request. I was ready to pay for the scotch but they didn't charge me. And they are sending a little note from me with the goodies. Love Kimpton!
