Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Fingers crossed firmly for you, Burrell.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Geez. I know I spoil Charlie, both because that's who I am and because of his back story, but even he knows the sit command, and I am working on the barking.

Speaking of Charlie, even though he really does like the doggie day care I take him to, in order to get into the premises, he has to go through this little chain link corridor, where there is usually a man standing, and then I leave him, so every morning I have to put on my excited voice to make it a happy happy joy joy thing instead of a fear thing, and I just keep thinking that I really need someone like that to get me into work.

I suspect they would get punched a lot though.

Because books.

~Ma for your sister, Burrell, and for you.

We never got Lucy to stop barking, either, but she definitely knew how to sit and all that.

This is a really dog-friendly town, and I see so many really well-behaved and trained dogs in town, as well as people bringing puppies out to properly socialize them.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

thanks ita, Lee & Amy. I'm not even sure which answer is best. I suspect discharge, except my sister is anxious about going home.

information libertarian

Discharge with a wound like you described would be stressful, but I think staying in the hospital would be more stressful for me.

I am back at work after 3 weeks away and have like 50 emails, maybe, and half of them are "today's schedule changed, go look at it" which I can delete without reading. It's weird how little email this workplace generates, but on days like today I do not mind!

I am sitting on the filter that just show's me my boss's emails. I can see the count from specific departments or "reply now!" people, but even the weekend makes me nervous to view my list as a whole. Hopefully getting off the mailing list of my old department will help.

I'm trying to update status reports, which is the thing at work I'm worst at, and I got distracted by Victoria Falls and the Devil's Swimming Pool. When I recover from that, it's to start shivering again. I cannot dress for the summer A/C here this year. Severe lack of focus so far.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Does this seem like something that should be sold in a hospital cafeteria?

Bourbon Street Pecan Pie $3.75
Mammoth toasted pecan halves in an intoxicating filling, laced with Kentucky Bourbon.

I think it is the "laced" that puts it over the edge.
