Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Well, it not starting until the 8th is no guarantee of him not expecting presents tonight anyway... God knows my 6-year-old expects presents all the time for no reason whatever. But, yeah, mistimed expectations of an actual official holiday, with a bonus wound-up present-expecting toddler, would truly suck.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Awww, this Buzzfeed post makes me miss visiting the Zmayhem. I kept scrolling down, waiting for it to show up, and it finally did. (#10 is a long-standing tag across the street from the Zmayhem residence).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

God knows my 6-year-old expects presents all the time for no reason whatever.

HA. So true.

Well, I think Devi managed to traumatize every animal (including people) in the vet's office when they took a blood sample. I warned them, but at least this time they believed me. She's just got an URI, on anti-bs, but she'd lost a lb since last year (which is down 1.5 from 2 years ago) hence the bloodwork.

I am covered in cat hair.

Now for the fun stuff:

And I came home to an email (!) from my mother, which was a forwarded email(!!!!!) from my father Thursday afternoon (? she says friday, it is from thursday, she didn't see it until he got home at some point this weekend!) in which he informs her of double vision, poor balance, dizzinesss and high BP while he was up in ABQ. He waits it out and then drives home(!)

I don't even. She didn't mention any of this on the phone last night. He's promised to see a dr today. WHICH HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED AS SOON AS IT STARTED HAPPENING. Oh, and maybe CALLED MY MOTHER ? BECAUSE HE WAS UP IN ABQ BY HIMSELF?! Fucking idiot.

I don't even.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Yikes, sara! Hoping they get it figured out and treated ASAP, whatever it is. But yeah, your dad needs a serious cluesticking.

Suzi, I'm sorry there was drama, but very glad that the BF is gone. Sounds like the best outcome all around.

In other news, it's a really lovely April day in Nashville today.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Thanks for the support last night. I know K-Bug was upset and I was the target of a lot of it but I went to sleep without much regret.

And then I slept through my alarm and just woke up. And discovered that CJ did the same, so he is late to school. We both feel sluggish instead of, ahhh, lots of sleep, refreshed.

Oh, sarameg. Parents can be hard headed. I hope he gets in to see a doc today and that all is well.

I would hope it would scare some fucking sense into him, but it doesn't look like it did.

What the fuck, at least maybe it gets mom annoyed enough to go to his doctor with some of our other concerns. Because clearly, if the man won't do more than send an email to his wife while having stroke-like symptoms, he's not going to mention anything else.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In other news, it's a really lovely April day in Nashville today.

Ditto Boston.

Jeez, Sara's Dad! Maybe not the big solo drives while dizziness and double vision are likely?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I feel you, sara. A while back I happened to be up in Milwaukee for something on a weekday and my dad just casually asks if I might pick him up from the VA because "they think I might have had another stroke" and all I could say was "wait, another?!?"

Yikes, sarameg! I hope he sees a doctor quick and that it's not serious/easily treated.
