When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Suzi, I think him being gone is a good thing. This bit of what you wanted to say to her:

Doesn't like you to do anything without him. Is cutting you off from your friends.

Set off dozens of alarm bells. I hope KBug gets to a point where she realizes that.

You're not a bitch. First you have a guest who over stayed their welcome in your home and put your foot down. But mostly importantly you're trying to help your daughter and that's not a bad thing.

So Buffistas - my FB friendslist is filling up with snotty cartoons about how this time of year is all about Christmas. I get frustrated when my relatives who are Christian start acting like they are being marginalized or oppressed or something.

I've been trying to find a list of all major and minor religious holy days that are celebrated in December. I want to put a list up and maybe on the actual day say something. But all I can find are lists for various Christian days and Judaism, and Kwanzaa. Does anyone know where I can find a list or have an idea of a better way to search Google.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Does anyone know where I can find a list or have an idea of a better way to search Google.

I don't know about searching better, but the Chinese celebrate the Dongzhi Festival on the winter solstice. [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMFG. They started jackhammering outside my bedroom window before 7 this morning. Is that legal???

Thanks billytea.

Jesse jackhammering that early is evil. They'll at least be in the special hell.

Stomach still hates me. Plus I either have a fever or just woke up to early and my thermostat is off. I can't really tell which and I can't find the damn thermometer, but taking this opportunity (hah) to call in sick and move the vet appointment for Devi up to this morning instead of this afternoon. Meh.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've been trying to find a list of all major and minor religious holy days that are celebrated in December.

I'm surprised this isn't a Wikipedia page. They love lists like that.

Speaking of which, can a fellow Buffista Jew confirm for me that Hannukah has NOT started yet? Every calendar I can find says the first night is Dec 8th, but I keep seeing electric menorahs in shop windows with one candle already lit!! Am I going crazy??

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Rabbi Google also told me the 8th.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

We just had to go through this issue while working out the attending schedule a couple of weeks ago, so even without Rabbi Google I know it's the 8th, and the one-candle-already-lighters are severely wrong.
