Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I frustrate developer and then make them laugh. Today, they were exasperated with us ops people because we couldn't agree on anydamnedthing. Our lead dev is a ragehead notorious for losing it, but he's never been able to go off on me (first would be the last, frankly, but people are amazed at the situations I've gotten into with him where he did not lose it.) He was...ramping up. I said somberly "daddy doesn't like it when when us kids fight!" and it totally took the wind out of his sails. He actually had to put his head on the table, he was laughing so hard.
I think this is why they keep me around some days.
I swear, I think it is hotter and more humid out there than it was before sunset. SAUNA.

I just imagined a Far Side style cartoon of God driving a sedan while Jesus and Lucifer scuffle in the back seat. "Knock it off, or I'm turning this Creation around!"
Hey, it's hot, my brain isn't getting proper air flow.
It sounds like she doesn't have the skill set to be a summer intern.
That's about the size of it. Thank god I can get other people to talk about her a little, so I don't feel so much like I'm either hateful or crazy.
I need to get up and fold laundry, but I did incline push ups inside and got in about 5 sweat-slicked miles outside, and I'm now consumed with the Do Not Wants.
That seems fair.
I remembered that I could do 250 squats a couple of weeks ago. And demonstrated that I still can. Nifty.
That is nifty! Two squats seem outside my wheelhouse. But I did 50 minutes on level 9 of the bike (while watching The Good Wife). And I dyed my hair when I got home. Now I'm out front in an Adirondack chair typing up letters to my students for tomorrow. Blargh. I hate this bit.
But it is lovely outside. 75 degrees. 52% humidity. Really lovely in my little slice of foothillness.
Any good thoughts for my sister's surgery and biopsy tomorrow would be most welcome.
85 degrees here. Inside and out. Thank goodness for ceiling fans.
