Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sleep doc told me her (Asian) 17 year old niece had shaved her head short like mine. It was on her bucket list. Doc is worried she has a flat head like she considers unexceptional for Asians, and wants to check with her mother about that.

Which I could only find hysterical. She was way scandalised abiut the choice, and the term "bucket list" wasn't helping any.

I just saw Incompeted Developer where she says she has 12 yaers of development experience. Which...she might have had a orimotion in the last month or so, but she was an associate developer last time I checked--I didn't even know there was a level below unadjectived developer. 12 YEARS. How would you feel?

When discussing with an architect if we had the right mix for a project he said not her, because she was okay with fixing stuff and finding simple errors and copying and pasting, but he wouldn't trust her with a whole ne application.

12 YEARS. And she's one of those web developers who doesn't list HTML as a skill.

This is why I work in usability now.

Today I took 8 boxes of books to the library bookstore, mopped the kitchen floor, ran the dogs 4 miles, washed a load of laundry, took one of the dogs to the vet, and made a batch of chewy coconut bars to bring to a friend's tonight.

Dang. I wish my unemployment had ever been that productive.

I did do a couple work things (though not the third and fourth things I should've done, and one of the things was actually due yesterday and I just didn't manage to do it). And I finally called a landscaper and left a message? And worked out with my trainer. Later I need to clean enough for the cleaning lady tomorrow. And shower. And meet friends at a burlesque show.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

AC has been on in the bedroom three hours and it's only down to 86. Still way better than anywhere else in the apartment but uuuuuuugggggghhhhhh heat.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Um. It sounds like she doesn't have the skill set to be a summer intern.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seconding shrift. Usability sounds like a safe, comforting, happy place.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I can cut and paste LIKE A BOSS.
