I'm sorry about the dad-issues, sarameg, but the rest of your trip sounds terrific.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Kat, insent.
Trying to work after yummy brunch (and beer) is not the greatest thing ever. Don't wanna.
Okay, who wants to go shopping with me? I need to buy a couple of pairs of shoes and a couple of jackets or cardigans for work, and I don't want to do it online.
Ok, those were parrots- grey with pink heads. But there were cockatoos. And blue and green parrots. All easily alarmed. Plus a jack russel staring down a gang of kangaroos. Must be hard to be a terrier out here.
the only forms of birth control that are 100% are abstinence and surgery to stop fertitltiy. So it seems to be logical to be prochoice.
I've pretty much been and education/environmental voter . I didn't think I needed to be a civil rights voter. But I do.
good luck sarameg.
glad you didn't blow up meara
today is one of the first cold days in the bayarea - so that means beef stew !
Plus a jack russel staring down a gang of kangaroos. Must be hard to be a terrier out here.
If cartoons have taught me anything, that dog is in some trouble. (If knowing JRs has taught me anything, he don't care.)
I think he must be stuck until people run them off (I love long walks at sunrise when I'm not at home.)
I'm sharing this here because I am still glowing.
This is the conversation I had with Owen this afternoon on the way to bowl with the cub scouts:
Owen: "Mom, what was Othello's flaw?"
Me: "What?"
Owen: "Othello. Most of Shakespeare's lead characters have flaws."
Me: "Well, I'd say it was lack of trust. He didn't trust his wife and it made it easy for Iago to trick him into killing her."
Owen: "Oh. I know what Hamlet's flaw was. Indecision."
Me: "You're exactly right."
Owen: "What's your favorite film adaptation of Shakespeare's plays?"
Me: "Romeo and Juliet. Franco Zeffirelli did a great job with that."
Owen: "The one from the 60s with Leonard Whiting?"
Me: "Yes. Leonard Whiting played Romeo and Olivia Hussy played Juliet."
Owen: "Yes. In 1968."
Me: "But I also loved Kenneth Brannaugh's Henry V."
Owen: "You know, Kenneth Brannaugh is SIR Kenneth Brannaugh now. He was knighted."
So, I'm reading more about Petraeus and his affair with his biographer Broadwell and this whole situation is a trip. Apparently, Broadwell became jealous of another woman (not P's wife) who he was close to and sent this woman threatening email messages. Said woman "was so frightened that she went to the FBI for protection."
What.a.clusterfuck. Homeboy has a real life "fatal attraction" going on.
