Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have never met a woman plumber in my life.

Because books.

Me, either. But yay!

I'm not sure I could be a plumber. Too many gross sewer-ish problems to deal with.

We're getting a new fridge, which is awesome, but the doors open the wrong way. They seemed befuddled when I said I'd like them switched first.

It's expected to be very humid around here the next few days. News channels are giving advice on how to deal with it. Predicted humidity: 57%. Which is, truthfully, dreadful for around here. Yay, remnants of tropical storms.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have this free service awayfind (which is supposed to help busy people plow through their email). I tested the pro version for a month, but am not sure if I will use it or now.

It periodically sends me email messages about my email use (funny) and yesterday it sent me an email: you respond to 1% of the email messages you receive. So apparently I am getting spammed from the universe. 1%?

I've been using email for almost 30 years now, and I still suck at it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

At some point when I was a kid, I decided I wanted to be a plumber when I grew up -- because I heard they had paid on-the-job training, which made way more sense to me than going to school for anything!

Sarameg, your story just makes me think how sometimes people who are creepy and evil and get off on power and abusing it try to become cops and if they fail become security guards. Ahem.

Where they chase after little kids in stores and Jaye has to stop him but she ends up saving his life by tasering him.

Oh man. Day two of parking on the other side of campus. I wore better shoes today for walking a mile.

Also, I wonder if one could justifiably shoot and kill Zimmerman since he has genuinely a threat, having proven to be a threat, under Stand Your Ground.

if there are no witnesses and you can lie and say he attacked you first, yes. you can claim self-defense.

I wonder what will happen when two people claim Stand Your Ground on each other? Or does somebody have to call dibs on the ground?
