Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Popped in the nose and hit his head on the water meter is a lot more consistent with the physical evidence than "head bashed 25-30 times against the sidewalk"

You know, physical evidence.

Yes, they argued that he "weaponized the sidewalk".

They do realize that's not like "weaponized uranium", right?? Just because something has become part of a phrase doesn't mean you can substitute words into it willy-nilly!!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

count me in as another human barometer! the weather is turning here and my head, neck and shoulder are throbbing.

Me too. My fingers, lower back, shoulders, and knees have been trying to kill me for a few weeks now.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

What is WITH this fucking weekend? If any of you are regulars at Balloon Juice, I expect you saw the news about General Stuck (commenter) and Tunch (supermassive cat/mascot/physical embodiment of the place) dying.

Oh, and TWO of our cars got clipped this weekend. While parked.

Also, my arms feel like they have rug burn from all the raspberry scratches. (I'd have finished pulling the unproductive canes, only someone CLIPPED MY NEW CAR, and I had to go in and rage blackout in private. Last straw and all.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Huh. Just realised that Cory Monteith had been on SPN. I couldn't work out if it was just a professional thing I was seeing tweeted, but once an #spnfamily, always #snpfamily. Not kidding around. That was the second ever episode.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The wendigo one? Was he the brother who went missing?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I understand that under current Florida law, the jury may well have felt that they had no choice but to reach the verdict they did, but THAT LAW IS INCREDIBLY FUCKED UP.

Yeah, but they could have (and should have) done jury nullification and ignored the judges' orders about interpreting the law.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

wendigo

No, he was the first guy the monster snatched. I think he may have had a line.

I feel like I should be icing my hand in prep for this morning. Of course, given how I slept on it, maybe I should anyway. That was not a natural position... I tried to sleep in. Didn't really work. Instead just being slow about getting showered and dressed.

Proof of how insane I've gotten: I'm packing my password cheat sheet (not an actual sheet, hackerz) in case I have to access documents online...
