It's weird, Jesse. It's like being at a game and suddenly realizing you're on the kiss cam, or something.
I hear you.
I'm applying for a job!
And boss lady is making a personal phonecall to her buddy the director on my behalf!
It's in Maine!
I walked home from dinner with my seminar students, and behind me two 19-20 year olds were discussing Homestuck, Korra and Avatar, horrible fandoms that turn you off the show, ship wars, and their final feelings about Snape in Harry Potter. I feel approximately one million years old.
Good luck, Juliebird!
flea, at least you knew what they were talking about?
I could even get a two-bedroom rental with a yard and heat included for only $650! I'd have to live in Newark with a roommate for that here in Jersey. OMG, I need this job.
Of course, my resume was on my old laptop, and not on my zip drive like I'd thought, so I'm busting that out and will email it tomorrow.
It's right on the ocean, half the distance to my parents that I'm at now, and I bet you my mother would leave my father for the chance to live in Maine, and I'd have ALL THE FREE HOME COOKED MEALS! Or at least she'd visit a lot.
Maine is lovely!
I have two jobs to apply for, and I'm not sure I'm really qualified for either of them, but I'm going to apply anyway. I hate this part.
Good luck, Julie!
I'm down to one robin. Given it is the younger (guessing, the older had less fluff than this one still has on the head) and I've put in back up in the nest twice after watching is clumsily flutterthump to the ground, I expect the older sibling is starting to fly and is the source of the identical cheeping from the low tree across from me. Of course, something more dire could be true, but the parents are still around. And holy god, one was MAD at me when I was putting the one back into the nest. She nearly whacked me in the face.
Also, baby robin being fierce? ADORKABLE! It's already got robin coloring and got all puffed up and yelly.
I wish them well, nature and all that shit.
Where in Maine, Julie?
