"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

How does one even begin to shop for this wig?

Like a lot of Archer, it's an update of a sixties look.

I'd look for a Bouffant Flip wigs and try to side style it a bit.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Dear neighbors, if the VERY LOUD firecrackers you are setting off in your driveway set my house on fire, or more importantly, wake up my kid, I will stuff the next one down your pants and then light the fuse.

I was just going to post that if my neighbors manage to burn down the neighborhood, or even just my portion of it with their fireworks, I am going to be really pissed.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

They seem to have stopped now, but there were a whole lot of window-rattling bangs and crashes for a good half hour or so. Miraculously, given how long it took to get her to sleep tonight, Rose slept through the whole thing, thank god.

Watched the fireworks from the field with neighbors, had another margarita with them. Home and third shower to wash off the bug spray, smashed bugs and sweat from watching fireworks with a wiggly 6 year old on my lap. Good night.

Still sounds like a war zone out there, cats don't care.

Compassionately intolerant

I posted in Bitches about my experience with the next door neighbors. Grr.

Actually, the more time passes, the more peeved I get.

I'm super tolerant of their youthful ways but what that means is that the line can be crossed quickly and terminally.

With them, tolerance may be mistaken for being a pushover.

Try me boys. Just try me. IJS.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My view was actually better than I remember it from last year, so that was a nice surprise. Pretty. The local amateurs are still making things go boom, which is annoying. I'm probably gonna have to hit the coffee hard tomorrow.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Brendhan Behan was an Irish poet, playwright and author. Conversation turned to him elsewhere than on this board (actually in a twitter exchange with Ken M). And yes, self-deprecation is common. What I think is less common is self-deprecation that is not self-hating on the one hand and is not "Isn't charming that I'm such a jackass" on the other. Though I think the examples given are great ones.

Fireworks in Olympia were illegal this year, after being legal for a long time. Did not eliminate them, but it made people a bit more discreet.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Happy half-price fireworks day!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was in bed before the town fireworks began, but not asleep, so the bangs kept me awake. The are set off about 5 blocks from our house, so very loud.

After sleeping half the day yesterday and getting another almost 8 hours last night, I feel better. I think part of my exhaustion is that I do not get enough people time and that mac is being a slug about doing anything around the house to help me.
