Jesse, OMG. I cannot imagine an iota of how you feel right now, but I am so happy for your family.

Sleep, sweetie. A family friend's walkabout were all the more frustrating because he couldn't tell them, the responders often didn't know to pass on info, etc.
He was glad to see everyone, and trying to engage for a while, but definitely more out of it than usual, which I attribute to the dehydration + tiredness. I hope a good night's sleep and the IV will get him back to .... where he was last week, at least.
I also can't get over how great the Somerville police were -- no nice and engaged and involved. Multiple officers stopped by the house, the assistant chief or whatever drove into Boston and gave flyers to the National Guardsmen setting up for the 4th, etc, etc.
And knowing how much support I had from you guys was really important and wonderful. Now I need to go to bed, because I apparently I have to work tomorrow??
Um, I think a sick day courtesy of FMLA might do.
I guess I'm taking today as a vacation day, and I actually have stuff I need to get done this week. I may turn off my alarm clock and go in late, though.
I'm sure your office will be pretty understanding if you sleep a little late, Jesse.
If not, direct them to us.
Get some good rest Jesse. I'm so happy and grateful he was found.
Take care of yourself, Jesse!
Honey, sick day sick day sick day. When I had to extend my vacation due to my mother's pneumonia, HR told me to take it as sick. Unless your sick leave is worse. Consult your HR. But don't worry about it now, those things can be revised.
Sleep well, Jesse. A sick day tomorrow makes sense, or a late day, whatever will leave you the least frazzled.
