The news about the firefighters is awful. And, it seems to have saturated the news cycle, so I'm afraid it's going to be hard to avoid for a while. I hope it isn't too stressful for your husband, Connie.

He hasn't said anything yet. I hope the nightmares have faded for him, it's been 30 years since he was a firefighter. When I first met him, the memories were a lot fresher. Of his starting group in fire training of about a dozen, he and one other were the only ones still alive when he got injured out.
