You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

Thanks. I don't know anyone in Somerville, but the information can't go amiss in case.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Jesse, I am so sorry, and holding you and your dad and family in my thoughts. If I lived in the area, I would be on the streets.

Love and -ma to you.

I'm not optimistic that the brain trust who walked over to my new desk to ask me how to use the functionality in question will be able to debug it, since I sent him not only a Word document telling him how to use it, but also pasted the cogent information into the email itself as a screenshot.

Sometimes it's overenabling and not actually knowledge transfer.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My neighbor has called three times to rant about the people renting next door to her. This time, they decided having a large fire of sticks and branches in a fairly narrow space between their house and her wooden privacy fence. The county allows barbecue grills and fire pits that meet specific specifications. It doesn't allow random fires. Also, it's very warm and humid out there, so a fire would only be a good idea if you wanted to replicate hell. The fire department came, put out the fire and explained the rules to them. Yes, they're very annoying and often act like visiting aliens. However, neighbor, an hour of your ranting about them is very annoying too.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Jesse, I'm just so sorry. I don't have people in the area, but it sounds like folks here and on fb have you covered. All possible best wishes that he's found soon and safe.

Consuela, I'm sorry about the fire, but I cheer and applaud your neighbors.

Ginger, your ranty neighbor needs a good spraying down with the garden hose.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The air is like soup here, and there are tornado warnings all over the region.

I was really hoping for some good news about Jesse's dad. It will be 24 hours gone soon, which is way too long.

We just had a crazy 2 minute, zero visibility hail storm. Loud as all crap and damn! Look outside now and there is no sign of it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Adding my wishes that your dad is found safe and sound, and soon, Jesse.

I just had someone tell me a) they'd read about this on LJ already and b) they were out and keeping an eye out.

God bless the internet.
