You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'll give that a try next time she shows her floozy face.

Mmmph, I hate waking up all creaky. Little on the agenda today beyond avoiding thunderstorms.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We are heading up to Baltimore to the Jewish Museum. They've been running an exhibit on Jewish creators of superheroes, and today there is also something called a Super Art Fight. Should be interesting.

Creaky waking blows!

Lee, Charlie and Bubba = cute. Also, is your registration on your old car and the pending tickets dealt with?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Dana, where did you go to college? I am curious. Was it in LA/New Orleans?

Nope, Austin.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister seems to have gotten a piercing I'd never considered. I almost deleted the email for spam because it's a pic of her cleavage, but...she's pierced her cleavage!

I can't pierce that. My bra hits that, or they're squished together, and it's certainly both bouncy and frinctiony--not as nerve ending rich as my temporary nipple piercing, but still.

I await clarification.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

If the first week of August isn't too early, they're having the Satchmo Summerfest in the French Quarter.

Love Satchmo Fest! Summer festivals are awesome because all the heat wimps skip it and so we have all the fun, plus a little bit of elbow room.

Our wings are not tired.

It's just as oppressively hot and humid here in August of course, which is the reason why summer travel destinations tend toward the mountainous.

I was just thinking that, Laura! Shouldn't you be in NY now?

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, I should be, but I don't yet have my ducks in a row. I told my office that since I am leaving so late I will likely stay to see Autumn leaves.

The one thing that I do love about being here in the summer is the lack of waiting time at restaurants. I'm sure there are times of year in NOLA where eating out is nearly impossible too. Walk right in and sit right down! When we were at Epcot with Matt a bit ago it was the same thing. No lines! Whee! I know the economy loves tourists, but the off season break is sure pleasant.
