I have read about Orca (and I appreciate your link to the discussion of the "consultant con job"), but I am not at all convinced that Orca lost the Presidency for MR.

Harry Reid's a Mormon, and many of the Mormons I know are actually a lot more politically liberal than you'd expect. (And very happy about the election results.)
The Church as an organization has a lot to answer for (as do many Churches), but there are many LDS members in good standing who believe that it is not their job to force their beliefs on the population as a whole, which Mitt Romney himself has stated.

But then what is the extra pages of documentary evidence?I think I have a PDF of my entire submission if you want to take a look as a model. Let me just boil my comment down to racism makes as much sense to me as deciding to hate all people who are left or right handed. I KNOW there are layers and layers to racism and xenophobia, I know it's not a simple thing, and yet...it's so fucking ILLOGICAL to me. It offends me.
ETA: I understand hate. But one should, if one must hate, hate a person for something personal -- stealing your spouse, killing your dog, whatever. Skin color? It's like "Oooh, all people who like jeggings should not be able to vote because they are clearly dumb." I GET ethnic and cultural tensions, et. al., and know that's a part of it, and runs very deeply in some people, and often for good reason. But often, I just want to be a goddess for a day and fucking cluestick the shit out of a shitton of people.
And now, I am going to look at puppies or something for a few minutes and get back to work.
