Gay marriage for some, divorces for EVERYONE!

I always boredom-ate at work! Because it was a) an excuse to get up from my desk, and b) usually an excuse to go out to buy the snack, which meant I could smoke.
I'm not surprised that red states are happy to have a way to get rid of a spouse without having to assign blame, ie, possible financial responsibility.
Love and commitment can involve sex, but sex ain't the end all, be all, and until death do us part doesn't have a clause that says you take it all back if one of or both of you just ain't up to or up for that piece of it.
I'm sorry. Can I just get another chorus of this?

It used to be very difficult in Virginia for a woman to escape an abusive spouse through divorce. (An ex's sister went through that, in that state, and would rant about it often.) I don't know if it was the unreasonable amount of time you had to be separated before divorcing, or actual divorce law pieces.
Great. No fault divorce is clearly going to be my research issue of the day. THANKS MUPPETLOVEHATERWOMAN.
I love the chain of processing.
I have now moved my desk. I'm going to miss my guy over the cube wall, but--all new guys. I am the only chick in a bit of a radius, and they know it--my not smelling bad has been commented on, and I have been assured there is no head-sitting-on required or encouraged.
And now I'm back to being call center people. No one ever needs to tell me they have to put a robe on so we can talk more.
I'm not okay with Bert and Ernie having any kind of adult relationship, sexual or otherwise, and I do not like that cover.
Muppet gender has nothing to do with it - Kermit and Miss Piggy are canonically adults; Bert and Ernie are not.
See, that's what always confused me -- it was clear to me that Big Bird was a kid, and Snuffalpagus, too, but Bert and Ernie always struck me as adults. Maybe because they had their own apartment? And they never talked about their moms or dads?
Grover, on the other hand, seemed sort of like a perpetual 12-year-old. Oscar was always a grownup in my head, too, I think because of his voice.
I never ever use my phone to talk to coworkers, I get up and go to their office, or even their building, to talk to them. I also grew up in a house where my brothers shouted for my parents, and I hated that. .

Bert's unibrow always made him look pretty damn adult to me, although I suppose he could be Maggie Simpson's nemsis at an older age.
