You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Technically you can take it back for any reason you please.

Well, depending on if you live in a no fault state or not, but true.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

How many states don't have no-fault divorce? I have vague memories of no-fault being controversial in the early '70s.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

New York was the last state that didn't have no-fault, and it enacted it several years ago.

Huh. I would have figured a more conservative state would be the last to adopt it.

New York, as you might imagine, has a powerful lawyer lobby.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So my coworker just asked if anyone had a sample of an "HTML postcard" that she could look at. I was like, "WTF is an HTML postcard." So someone sent me one, and you know what it is? IT'S AN EMAIL. Not even an exceptionally short and/or graphic email! Jargon, man.

not your mom's socks.

Sparky, we really should write that book sometime.

Thanks, Laura.

I love that New Yorker cover so much.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, my coworker who just sits in her office and yells toward other coworkers makes me SO TIRED.

Our wings are not tired.

Also, my coworker who just sits in her office and yells toward other coworkers makes me SO TIRED.

One of my client offices is like this. They all yell to each other rather than either getting up or using a phone extension. They also all hate each other and make faces behind each other's backs. When I visit there I leave with jitters. I could not work in that kind of environment.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just get up! It's not that hard! I never call my immediate coworkers, which makes it awkward when I'm out of the office. I did finally remember to put some people's numbers in my phone.

This coworker does like people, I should say.
