If there is anyone around can they distract me with shiny things for a bit.
I'm having what I think are side effects of the medicine I've been taking and it's caused me to have an anxiety attack. I talked to the crisis counselor at my counseling center and he's going to call the on call psychiatrist, but right now I'm freaked out that I've developed a blood clot.
I realize this is highly unlikely but all I can think about is something happening and being alone.
So, anyone have shiny distractions?
askye, Upworthy.com is full of distracting and happymaking things. And watching this commencement address is always good for the soul.
Talked to the counselor, who talked to the doctor on call. And she said it's probably not the meds, it's not a go to ER now type thing, but ti's a call your doctor tomorrow and get an apointment.
Now I have to see if I can relax.
Thank you JZ!!!
Not for another 3 hours my time (or, to get granular, 15 hours, as I was one of those weird rare midday babies), but thanks! I plan to spend it by either destroying or invoking the serial comma. I'm too tired right now to remember which side I'm on in that dispute.
Happy birthday JZ!

By my time it's been your birthday for 15 hours. DOMA was overruled on your Australian birthday!
It's almost 1 am here so it's your birthday here!

It's good to have strong convictions. Whatever they might turn out to be.
Happy birthday, JZ! Get granular on it.
askye, I sympathize so much. Panic attacks are rough. Just keep breathing (duh, like you were planning to try not doing that) and remember you're not alone and you're gonna be okay.
askye,
you need to elevate your feet. If you have any discoloration going up your leg (like up a vein), go to the ER. If you see a marked increase in size in a short period of time, go to ER.
Otherwise, it can wait until tomorrow.
