You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

So are the Txdems prepared to fil. again?

Crap, there's a storm maybe 20 minutes out. I think I'm not swimming tonight. We'll see.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I don't think a filibuster situation can arise again, because the Dems won't be able to delay a vote until the end of the session.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am so disgusted right now my stomach actually hurts.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So, what's the real logic behind a filibuster? Clearly it was working for the cause of good yesterday, but is it a loophole or a feature?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Still sleep deprived. Oy, this is gonna take all week to go away, isn't it?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Got an emergency haircut, and am feeling much better about myself. Phew!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

"Angry mob"? Fuck you.

Ten bucks says the first draft said "hysterical".

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I think the right to filibuster in a legislature is a bad idea, does more harm than good and should be eliminated. But so long as it exists, I think any opportunity to use for good should be taken, because I don't believe in unilateral disarmament.

Argh, it's lovely outside, but a million degrees in my apartment, and there is no way to get a cross-breeze. I'm air-conditioning my bedroom, obviously, but should I have the living room fan blow the cool air in or the hot air out?

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

Neither, Jesse. Life is suffering.
