now what I think of as "Anne Rice" is gone. There are only the books. Primarily the early ones or ones that have David Talbot.
I will say that if you read Blood Canticle with the mindset that it is the crackiest of crack fic that only has a loose relationship to the canon of the original books, it is comedy GOLD. Lestat musing about hot cocoa and animal crackers!
... huh, I am loopy enough from stress and being sick that I may reread Blood Canticle tonight, because I don't think I'm up for anything smarter or more lucid.
Well, that didnt take long.
Yeah, the assembled motherfuckers of the NC General Assembly have already acted on the voter ID plans they've been having bonerses over as well. And proud we are of all of them.
We could go forward with the forced secession plan. Put together a fund for the reasonable people to migrate if they want.
I hate people sometimes. They do not make me feel proud to be an American.

It's the one I pulled up the other night to read.
I know it's irresponsible, but I am going to postpone thinking about the voting rights act bullshit until after my vacation. Too depressing.
In shallower but pleasanter news: I have been slowly changing the way I fold my sheets and as of today the entire linen closet has been converted over. So that's something accomplished.
The cop and the pitbull (and the ad campaign) were from last summer, I think. A number of Ravens and Orioles got involved in the campaign.
-t, how do you fold sheets?
We took the kids to Barnes and Noble today, where I read most of a book by Jen Hatmaker. She is interesting, but also makes me squirmy. The book was thought provoking (over 7 months, she made conscious decisions to eliminate things by category for each month. The first was food, where she ate only 7 foods for the entire month, then month 2 was wearing the same 7 pieces of clothing. Month 3, she donated 7 things a day, usually trying to find the donee people specifically...) but also preacher (and given her super christian background, the preachiness made sense).
To practice simplicity, I opted not to buy it.
The Supreme Court and Paula Deene and Anne Rice make me tired and sad about the whole damn country.
agreed, Calli.
