Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

CJ and I went to an information meeting tonight for the online public school program. You can go full time or just take a couple of e-classes and the rest at the high school. We were curious based on his summer school success. It turns out that the program is different from the summer school program and isn't something he is interest in.

But, the other attendees HAD to be the people upon which stereotypes are based. There were a couple of home school moms who want their kids to get more socialization by going to the online school. Then there was a Chinese couple who were wanting to enroll their 8th grader so she could take extra classes and get ahead of the regular sequence of classes for high school. But they were worried that in an online class their child wouldn't have the "incentive" of knowing the other kids grades and striving for that A+.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

One of the options for a young high school graduate could be a CC for a year. I know oa few kids around here that have done it - -and I saw them grow up and they took college and future with more focus and determination

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We still have a question mark over how he handles frustrations and opposition

Hmm, if that's the issue, I think school would be a good thing, especially if he's responsive to his teachers now. I have a little boy who is oppositional and doesn't tolerate frustration well, and I found he quickly learned the social expectations at school.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

A recent Jägermeister pool party in Mexico turned to panic after organizers poured four buckets of liquid nitrogen into the water, sending eight to hospital and leaving one partygoer in a coma.

Things that do not go together:

  • Drinking and liquid nitrogen
  • Bare flesh and liquid nitrogen
  • Stupidity and liquid nitrogen

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I almost hyperventilated watching that video, oh the badness. Just the fact that I couldn't see the people in the water was freaking me out. Drinking, water, and no one with eyes on you, let alone liquid nitrogen.

Oh beautiful lakehouse that's within budget in a quiet neighborhood, why are you an hour away?

I'm still kinda hoping my soon-to-be-former-boss-lady decides she'd like to rent her house to me . . . although her bathroom sucks.

It's Tiara Thursday. I came home and put on one of my tiaras. I look in the mirror and I sparkle.

It's a good evening. On to watch Iron Man for the 3rd time.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ZK, I watched this week's ep, so I'm up to date. Realising that I hadn't actually been anxious to find out the answer (forgot I didn't know...) tells me I'm close to the end of the show. Given that they're seemingly lining up for doctor addicted to narcotics is going to make goodbye easier.

I don't think I went to pre-school or kindergarten or anything specific like that--I went to Montessori! Yay!

They skipped me ahead a year in "real" school as a result and I was bored out of my gourd. But when I moved to England they put me back with my age group which worked fine because on at least 50% of the subjects I was actually two years behind.

My sister told me she had this family wedding exchange:

I say I'm waiting for [cousin]'s wedding, Mummy says "that's too ordinary". I say "huh?". She says "a man, a woman, born that way...".

She's not lying.

One of the women at work was complaining about the low flow flushing where you need to flush twice after, and sometimes once before depending on how kind your predecessor was. I mentioned that the choice for the toilets had been made by people who don't sit down to pee. "Men!" she said. "No," I started..."People who don't..." Yeah, I guess I can leave it at men for the purpose of the conversation, even if there is a slight itch as a result.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Ita !, Montessori is totally "something" school, at least, if not preschool. There's a ton of academics, which, to me, is a major distinguishing factor from daycare. Also, Montessori kids, represent!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I may never watch anything else again.
