Starsky and Hutch was so bromance. I adored it.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I haven't watched S&H in forever, and I always assume that Ho Yay is all the rage now, and we're dragging it with us to older shows, but no--ships today are built with way less raw material than the Starsky & Hutch pilot brings with it.
Silly boys!
It's cracking me up that they keep talking about a '63 Chevy. CHEVY WHAT??? Also, today we'd consider it terribly awkward product placement--were they being compensated then?
My nurse is generally 20 minutes away whenever I call. Our arrangement is for "between ten and eleven", so I figure if she needs to be summoned, it's perfectly reasonable to do so now.
I know a mid-20s white woman who recently shaved her head. She's gorgeous and has a perfectly shaped head for the cut. She has an outdoor job, but wears skirts over leggings most days.
I have mad-head shape envy and have to confess that I had a momentary "Empire Records" worry that something was going on in her life to precipitate the radical change. Up until now, she has been a little bit hipster, and her hair has been a thoughtful part of her look...unlike mine which has a life of its own and I pretty much let it do what it will.
Turns out, she just wanted to try it. End of story.
If I didn't think I'd look even older that I do, I'd totally do it!
HMOG, the giant fly that's been buzzing around my apartment today made a sound that was like a kid goat bleating. I've never heard a bug other than a cicada or cricket make that loud a noise. Of course, it earned said fly a faceful of Fantastik and being swatted with a rolled-up paper, so sometimes it's not best to be the squeaky wheel.
Oh, man--I forgot! Nurse Woo is now Nurse Woo Madoff! She was giving me financial advice last week--telling me I needed to do something related to Dinar Inc. Buy some...dinars, I guess? She was more vague about how that was supposed to work than she is about stem cells or quantum physics. I looked at a couple websites, and there's no explanation of how this is a money-making venture, but...enh.
But then I did find a great moneymaking venture! RipoffReport.com purports to be for the consumer--you can bitch like negative yelp reports, but then they also have the infrastructure for the service being complained against to rebutt. So they are making it from both ends. I don't see why anyone would use them, since their lack of conviction seems really patent (and when it comes to picking sides, I'd assume they go with the pocketbook, not Silkwood).
Now that I've solved my yoghurt problem with Sprouts (new favourite supermarket), I can focus on my granola problem. Trying to find the perfect not-that-nutty oaty dried fruity goodness. Mmmm.
Turns out the FB account is legit, although I have no idea what she was thinking. I reset the password and logged everyone else out of the account to go look, and it's an Irish chick born in 1987. Total...whatever...I couldn't work out the simplest email analogue to send one of her friends a private message telling them what had happened. Am I posting to someone's wall? What is a wall? Is this instant message? Couldn't really tell.
Congrats, guys.

Without the lights, no one would notice the elephants.
Exactly!
I loved that cut. This one is basically as maintenance free, but you can tell more and it changes more when I go so long without cuts.
I would definitely do it again. But it wouldn't be as much of a statement now, I don't think. I'm kinda saving it for when I get older.
I went to an older folks church service this morning and was looking at all the ladies' dyed and curled hair and was wondering what our generation's old lady hair will look like. And I can't see myself wanting to put in more effort than I do now. Used to think I would have old lady long hippie hair. But I think the odds are better for old lady cropped hair.
I think I already have old lady cropped hair.
Not sure what I will do when the henna covering my sort of cool grey outlives its usefulness. But, I can guarantee it will not be a blue rinse!
Homeowners: as I'm searching through listings for apartments, I'm starting to get the idea that to get what I want, I'll need to actually get a house with a mortgage. There's a house that looks like that would be less than I'm paying now on rent, with more space (and if it's mine, I can do whatever I want, and have extra cash for higher heating bills and repairs).
If this is a question, I vote for buying a house. But I like buying houses.

I plan to cut mine real short and dye it blue.
