Stephanie - not sure. Will check on it. Do we need to put olive oil or flour or anything on it, or just heat it dry?
Also, possibly of interest to the GeoGuesser Buffistas (as well as Scola, dcp and other photographers).
((Frank)) Good to see your pixels, unsettled though they be.
I've been slightly less stressed since I have a little breathing room now, so that knot of stress in my stomach isn't as bad. Unfortunately, both my body and my mind have decided it's a good idea to crap out on me since I don't have so much that has to be dealt with. I've got to get on the apartment hunt pronto next week, but I don't have to spoons for it this one.
JZ, the pizza stone needs to be heated over the course of 45 minutes or so. Place it in a cold oven and go from there.
It's porous, so don't put anything liquid on it. Flour or cornmeal is acceptable to keep the crust from sticking, but if the stone is hot enough, you shouldn't need it.
Ah, thanks. We definitely didn't give it enough preheating time. And scrape stuff off but don't wash or soak, and then just store it in the oven, correct?
Scrape/brush the debris off and then use water. If you use detergent, your next pizza will taste like Ajax.
Also let it cool down gradually. You want to avoid it breaking in half from thermal shock. Storing it in the oven is fine.
eyecandy and goodstuff are giving me cognitive dissonance or something right now. Tom Hardy and Alex Minsky need to do a photo shoot together or something.
I'm pretty sure that's The Feelings you're getting.
I no longer get feelings.
