Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs and that's all you've learned?

Our "decorating theme" is, approximately, "Hey, Look, An Antique Egg Incubator Came In To Work And I Brought It Home!"

But it no longer includes the driveway drill press. The lack is appalling.

Foot has been x-rayed. No results as yet. No karate today.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm going back to my first chorus rehearsal tonight. I'm weirdly nervous, because it should be really straightforward, and it's just music from video games, and yet I'm still kind of queasy. But I need to eat before I go, because I can't sing for three hours on an empty stomach.

You know what I learned today? That if you need a big decision made in my org, you have to fill out a "Decision Request Form."

I have not. I may have to poke around our intranet tomorrow.

I think, from the context of what was being discussed, that it might actually be an IT thing, but I am not 100%. It may just be for big decisions...

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Congratulations, Gud!

I live in a two-bedroom apartment. But I have awesome neighbors [waves to Amyth], and since it's just me and the cat I don't need that much space.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Congratulations, Gud!

We lived in a sturdy older home with a terrible layout. Now we have an older double-wide in an attractive neighborhood with pretty stringent rules. The layout makes sense, after years of trying to manage with walls that jogged around a central staircase and roof dormers, and closets that sloped under the roof so they were impractical.

We have two decent-sized bedrooms, the closet off the master is 6x10--I've had bedrooms smaller--a decent closet in the second bedroom, a linen closet, two baths, a dining room big enough for the antique breakfront and a table with two leaves that will seat eight, a decent sized kitchen with a w/d and shelving behind louvered doors, a separate pantry, a functional airlock back porch for minor storage, a covered deck large enough to hold seating for six or eight people, or more, cozily. There's a separate closet by the front door for coats and seldom-used things, the living room is large enough that we could easily use part of it for an office, or a dining area, should we want to close off the dining room for another bedroom or a more private office.

We have far more usable space, and it's all accessible. Not to mention the weather-tight shed H uses as a workshop, but which also has a full loft for storage.

Our furnishings, wall art, and books have been accrued, like a nautilus' shell, and reflect where we've been, as well as where we hope to go.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ooh, askye, I had an under-the-stairs closet once, it was pretty sweet! I've loved in a surprising number of places with no closets at all, I really appreciate them. I don't have great closets here - what looks like a coat closet in the living room actually is full of oven, for example, and the office has no closet so it wouldn't make a good bedroom, and the room with the litter boxes just has those modular shelves with poles on the wall to hold clothes. But the shed is awesome, and the garage isn't bad, so I can't complain about storage.

I've got 3BR/1BA right now, which is more space than I need, but not enough to add a roommate, I don't think. Not the way it's laid out. And it is, in fact, entirely full of my stuff at the moment, because I have a lot of stuff and it is really not organized. I have a dream of putting a floor in the attic and permanent stairs and skylights and perhaps some plumbing and moving up there and renting out the bottom floor.

I don't really understand decor. I have stuff. Sometimes I put some effort into trying to get new stuff that'll look okay with the stuff I already have. Sometimes.

My new lawnmower came, huzzah! I'm gonna have a popsicle and then see if I can put that sucker together.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

3 bd room 1 bath. Well there is a second full bath in the garage, but... There is no good way to g et to it from the. House because it I s a full working shop. Which will get - improved why we finish getting the electrical redone. One bedroom, one office (that has a slightly different future) and the music /guest room. It is less than 1400 sq ft and a 1955 rat maze. I've drawn out a design for after the big one- smaller, but no more maze
