Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If you missed the Tonys' opening number, and have any interest in musical theater, you should really watch it: [link]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I saw a review of him in Once; I so want to see it!

He was really terrific in it. As an adaptation of the film, the stage version is problematic, but on it's own it's gorgeous. I did love the way they arranged the songs for more voices. (And unlike that bizarre wretched Sweeney Todd from a few years back, this time it actually makes sense for the actors to carry their own instruments and play them onstage.)

I don't have real teevee, so I watched this am, and I cried. I think big opening numbers have the same effect on me as parades do.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just watched it and cried a little, too. I'm not even much of a theater person!

What battery powered mower do you use Rick? I like my battery powered trimmer a lot and may look into battery mowers eventually.

I use a Black & Decker. Actually, I use two of them, because the one Amazon sent me had a crack in the housing, and they decided is was too expensive to arrange for me to return it. They just sent me a second one and let me keep the original. So one mower charges while I'm using the other one.

All of the major brands are currently transitioning to lithium batteries, which are much lighter, so if you can put it off for a while you will probably be happier with the product.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

The co-writer of the opening number, Tom Kitt, went to college with me and is married to one of my classmates.

Good to know. We're thinking of getting one if we move. The new yard might be small enough to make it practical.

Well he did a great job! I just watched it again, and the whole spectacle makes me tear up, but the "everyone up here today, we WERE that kid, and now we're bigger" was very moving.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well he did a great job!

He really did.

That's awesome!

Seriously.
