Work time--depends on how much I'm traveling, really. I have to bill 40 hours a week (though that can include stuff like training or administrative stuff, not just client-billable). Basically, for each visit I do I have to write a report (and do expenses and stuff). And if I'm really busy, then I usually bill plenty more than 40 hours just between time at the sites and travel, and so I'll work however many hours I need to write the reports and it's no big. Sometimes I'll bill 13 hours Monday, 8 hours Tuesday, 15 hours Wednesday, 6 hours Thursday and 8 Friday. As long as I'm getting the work done and totaling 40 or more, they don't mind. But my reports are due at a certain time after I do the visit, so sometimes I have to work extra hours on a day I'd already worked enough, to make sure it gets in on time. ...in this case I had a headache Friday and didn't get shit done, and had fucked around online on Thursday, so...yeah. Probably if I actually do work today, I'll just pretend I did it Friday and bill the hours to that.

Oh my fucking god, really? I'll have to wait until Tue or Weds to get him to the vet to check for disease/microchip. Unless an owner turns up. If one doesn't....hey lisah, want a cat???
Poor kitty! Somehow they find you, though...
(My foster kittens are still SO CUTE. But stinky)
Also, breakup is...probably a good thing in the long run, and good in that I now have lots of me time. But bad in that I'd RATHER have lots of good "US" time...except lately it wasn't good us time, so...yeah.
I'm sorry, meara. Breakups are no fun even when they are right.
Maybe I will listen to music while I mow the lawn! Probably not, though, I've got podcasts piled up.
And I killed the lawn mower. That's not good.
I couldn't watch that because I was afraid the cat would kill that man.
But bad in that I'd RATHER have lots of good "US" time...except lately it wasn't good us time, so...yeah.
Yeah, I hear that. Sorry.
Probably not, though, I've got podcasts piled up.
Podcasts are why I stopped listening to music regularly! Also, my lack of long commute.
Yeah, I've got both those things going on. And now I'm just out of the habit. I was listening to music while I was running, and that reminded me that I liked listening to music, but I'm out of the habit of running right now, too.
I think I'm going to take this opportunity of my electric mower crapping out on me to buy a human-powered push mower. Does anyone have any experience and/or opinions on brands or whatever? I"m leaning towards [link] on the theory that when I have time and inclination to mow the lawn is in the early morning...
This should be public on fb: [link]
Push mowers work pretty well, but not great. If you ever let the lawn get too long, the reel mower won't be able to cut it back down, and there are some weeds that don't cut well so the lawn can start to look scraggly. Because you have to mow so often, a small yard is all you can manage.
I used one for years but had an old power mower that I brought out once a month or so to reboot the lawn.
Now I have kids and a much larger lawn, so I use a battery powered electric. But I did enjoy the quiet of the reel mower. You could mow in the cool of the early morning. Hell, you could mow the lawn barefoot if you wanted too, because the mower was so safe.
Planning for a trip to Europe in late July (yay!) and called the credit card company to find out what their foreign transaction fee is and what index they use for calculating exchange rates. The second question has utterly befuddled the CSR.
I've been on hold for a while.
