Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

You guys are making me want to try the splits even though I know it would be a BAD idea. My hamstrings have never been stretchy, even as a kid. I'm kinda bendy, but not so stretchy.

Thanks for all the Charlie sympathy, all. I know it will get better given time, but it's nice to hear all the stories of pets for whom it has already gotten better. Last night hit me harder than it would have normally, since I am already worried about having to "abandon" him to overnight boarding while I am in San Diego (going for a conference), which I think is going to set us back some.

It might not set you back. In my experience, the return after the first (overnight or longer) trip away is when new pets figure out that this is "home".

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Worst houseguest ever

No, awesome houseguest.

Who then suggested Manhattans and a movie (Avengers). Extra awesome houseguest.

I need to invite LAistas up once it's a little less suddenly scorching buttcheeks of Satan weather.

The status is NOT quo.

I have to agree with this.

I need to invite LAistas up once it's a little less suddenly scorching buttcheeks of Satan weather.
Yes! And you know you're always welcome here as well (though our guest room will be occupied until the end of September, we have a comfy couch and a sofa bed in the back house.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I do love my Subaru in almost every way and would encourage a look at the Imprezas if they at all fit your needs.

I'll second this recommendation.

Last day of school but not the last day of work.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I forgot to say I had a Pimm's Cup last night! My first one -- I liked it! So that was exciting.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Did you all know about Breatharianism and didn't tell the rest of the class?

Yes, sorry. t /wears cone of shame

Last day of school? Wow, NYC doesn't let out until the 26th. Which is actually great for me because that's three weeks less I have to find money for full time childcare.

I can't even touch my toes, I'm so un-bendy. Splits? No way. Maybe when I was five.

Yay Jesse! Welcome to the Pimm's Cup Club. I'm having one tonight if I remember to buy cucumber.

Noah and Grace have been out since Tuesday. Who ends a school year on a week day? Thanks, district, for your weird and inconvenient scheduling.
