Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've mostly stopped going to fast food places for anything besides McDonalds breakfasts. Sometime I go to Popeyes because their fried chicken is nummy.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Suzi, health~ma for K-Bug!

I almost never drive anywhere for lunch; either I bring my own or I walk to a restaurant nearby. There are really only 3 or 4 places with good (vegetarian) lunch options nearby, but that's just about enough, since I try to bring a lunch most days.

Our wings are not tired.

Lunch choices are:

1. Packed myself 2. Drive home - 1.1 mile 3. Walking distance options Sushi, Thai, Greek, Seafood, Italian, Wendy's, and more 4. Walking distance large grocery store 5. Drive up to 20 minutes because must have XYZ

Did I mention I love my new office?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't take longer than an hour for lunch. However far I can get in that time and eat decently is near enough. However, I need to walk past a cafe and a restaurant I really like to get out of our office complex--just to get to my car--so i rarely go far. I'm at least trying to eat there instead of coming back to my desk. Buying fish helps.

Last night the neuro on call went WAY above and beyond the call to handle both me and my medication. Talking me back into the hospital after a nurse had reached out to security to tell them I was "combative" was no mean feat.

I told his boss to thank him again for me. He made everything happen. And used words like respect and dignity, with the craxxy POV that patients warranted both.

They're gonna order one more round of meds (that was weird for a moment, when they discontinued all the meds except for Pepcid) and then send me home. Please pharmacy, hurry up.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Finally caught up. And will probably fall behind pronto. All this move crap is sucking up time and energy like a mofo.

Just wanted to add my condolences to Consuela and my dismay that you had to wait so long for a resolution with the hospice.

And now to probably go gray again.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I think it's going to be Chipotle. Burrito bowl or salad?

WTF ita !? I can't believe you're still getting this kind of runaround. And they've obviously never seen you "combative" for real.

hip deep in pie

I try to take lunch but there are 5-6 half decent places for lunch about a 5 minute walk away. There is also a few Subways, Tim Hortons and colleges cafs in the vicinity since I am between a university and a hospital.

However my favourite lunch place is about a 5-7 minute drive away and I have taken a cab there a couple of times.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

y'all, BK wednesdays started in 1998 and continued pretty uninterrupted until my move back to TX in 2010. To be able to start them back up again? it is joy.

I should start bringing my own lunch 3-4 times a week, just like I should start only drinking work coffee. I could probably save enough to put in my attic stairs access in a few month.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

ita, I'm sorry you needed the neuro to be such a hero, but glad someone was when it was called for.

I'm doing pretty well on drinking only work coffee. It probably saves me $20 a month, but it's satisfying beyond that.

And I need to come up with two more references. I can not even think about that right now, too close to tears.

Ooh, attic stairs are on my wishlist for the house.
