My plans a) finish my Coursera homework b) get home in time for the pharmacy delivery *and* pick something up from the pharmacy...I sense a departure in the offing... c) draw.
That's all.
A recently bearded co-worker came to my desk and I trufax shrieked. Not my noblest hour. HAIR INVASION.
So my job is changing next week to report to the new director, but I will still maintain my "unique" relationship with my current primary business unit and still handle all their requests. But I won't
have
to deal with developers. Which I'm taking as official endorsement to avoid the incompetent one.
Whoa, thanks Jessica, those cheddar olives look amazing!
I have no idea what anyone said since the egg topic started.
I had to stop reading because all those eggs were putting me off the idea of lunch. You know what sounds good about cheddar olives? They aren't eggs.
But I won't have to deal with developers. Which I'm taking as official endorsement to avoid the incompetent one.
I'd say that's clearly the intent.
So, I was told today that the company wants to move forward with hiring me as a Business Analyst. I still need to finish out my however many hours as a temp that Office Team requires for conversion-to-permanent-witout-penalty, my manager thought that'll happen June 5th, and then HR can start running the background check and apparently there's some kind of blood work involved (I assume it's a drug test and not, like, magic, but we shall see) and that all usually takes a week or so, and then I will be a permanent employee! For the first time in my life, salaried even, I believe.
And then I will almost immediately go on vacation, but I told her the dates (and I am taking the whole week) and she said it's fine although there's a good chance it will be unpaid time off, which is what I was expecting.
And somewhere in there I will find out about compensation and benefits because, yeah, I never asked about any of that.
This has been a really weird six months, employment-wise.
YAY -t
what are folks doing this weekend?
Work, dog stuff, cat stuff, work, work, cleaning, dog stuff, sleep.
Thanks! I don't think I've really taken it in properly.
That's great, -t! And also ita!
And YAY meara kitties!
I got this idea to add fresh cranberries to a blueberry muffin mix I have, except holy shit, my apartment is hot enough as it is.
