We just had Panda Express for our weekly free lunch. It's terribly and greasy and salty and I LOVE IT. Plus we had fancy cake for dessert as the owner is moving to the Chicago office.

Yeah, we start summer hours on Monday. Having Fridays off is nice but having to be at work for another hour is no fun. (And having to take a bit of vacation daily because 1. buses don't run early enough to get me to work by 7:30 and b. I'm not sure I run early enough to be useful by 7:30.)
Oh shoot. Timesheet. Gotta get that done. KCD got me so freaking frazzled. Grrrrrr.
Since Lee hasn't asked - what are folks doing this weekend?
I'm babysitting tomorrow morning then working in the afternoon. Sunday, I'm meeting a friend for brunch at a place with an AMAZING Bloody Mary buffet and then going to a chalk art festival in downtown. And maybe a henna party if I'm not too tuckered. Oh, and more work where I can fit it in. Wheee?
what are folks doing this weekend?
Emmett's prom! I've got to shuttle him all over beforehand on Saturday. Then collect him on Sunday.
I don't mind the days I work 7:30-4:30 because even though I'm at the office the same length of time, leaving at 4:30 helps to mitigate the feeling that I've been at work FOREVER. But these 9:30-6:30 days are brutal.
My CSA starts tomorrow, so I'm picking that up in the morning. Then Dylan's swim class. Sunday my sister is having a graduation party in the park, so I'm going to make some cheddar olives (BEST SNACK EVER) and hang out with her grad school buddies feeling old for a while.
There is a maid cleaning my house right now (we have her come monthly), and after I finish this report that I have been procrastinating on like whoa (it was due yesterday...), I will go PICK UP FOSTER KITTENS!!! Whee! KITTEHS! Supposedly getting three 7 week old kittens.
I'm going to make some cheddar olives (BEST SNACK EVER)
Color me intrigued!
Cheddar olives:
The key is to thoroughly drain the olives so the dough doesn't get soggy with olive juice while you're rolling them. And to have the dough at room temp so it will easily roll out thin.
Timelies all!
This weekend is all about music. We're going to the Washington Folk Festival during the day on Saturday and Sunday, and to a benefit concert on Saturday night.
