He wouldn't let CJ bring his school work on the weekends until this last year.
He automatically needs to shut his pie-hole then.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Oh jeez!
Which is good on the berries and stuff they have for garnish, though I find it a little hard to picture with watermelon.
Yeah, this is what I'm thinking.
Whoo-hooo. Just got a call from the high school and they can fit him in both classes. The teacher who called me had him his freshman year and she said she would find the room for him. She then went on about how much she love him in class and how he is such a good kid. She is a teacher I know he liked a bunch too, so I think he will be happy that she is overseeing the class (it is mostly computer driven).
(ita !, skip this post.)
The bakery a few blocks from my office has a new sandwich special: a slice of multigrain bread with ricotta cheese, lots of arugula, and a fried egg, topped with a sprinkle of salt and chili flakes. Hi new favorite lunch, hiiiiii.
Yeah, David is right. That's...I'll be nice and say "counterproductive."
What courses did he get bad grades in? That may have a lot to do with it. I traditionally got ASS grades in anything mathy, and some other classes I thought were stupid, and I would have gotten shit grades because of lack of effort in other classes except for knowing stuff because of extracurricular reading and being a consummate writing bullshitter.
Only reason I didn't fail Geometry was chicken pox during finals week. I had a tutor and I tried, I did, but it was all Ginger blah blah Ginger.
I will happily eat an entire avocado with nothing but a spoon and a little salt, so I do not understand this "half an avo is too much" talk.
This is me. But I want a squirt of lemon or lime too.
He is retaking his second semester of Biology and Geometry. Math has always been a struggle for him, not because he doesn't get the concepts but because he HATES "showing his work".
Hey Buffistas who are cleaning out closets and such! If any of you have those twist/crinkle lace dresses that have huge skirts and (usually) come with an attached rayon slip that need a good home, please let me know. It doesn't matter what color they are, they're one of the few garments that takes black dye really well.
And he bites at both doing his homework and then remembering to turn it in. The computer program driven summer classes will offset that stuff, so I think he will have more success.
Suzi,
you might need to try extra positive reinforcement. If he gets a "c" or better on both courses this summer, then he gets to do XXX. You may think that's going overboard, but if positive reinforcement is a thing that works, maybe do more of it.
Geo I have (obviously!) no suggestions for, but it seems to me like Bio would have a LOT of tie-in's to S&R. Some of it would be rote, but I would frame it in "How can you connect this to S&R?" Maybe the teacher would allow projects or extra credit that connects to search and rescue?
