See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, God, flea, how awful.

I haven't said anything until now, but I've been vibing for all possible peace and ease and closure to Suela, her mom, and all her family since last night.

Our wings are not tired.

It's a fascinating and eye-opening list.

Cayenne was attacked by a pit bull at our favorite park last year and I am still not over my (since then) fear that's going to happen again. The pit didn't break her skin, so it did not mean business, but it was terrifying nonetheless. The owner was an old white guy who took absolutely no responsibility and was nonchalant about the whole thing. I was FAR more upset with him than with his dog.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm super skeptical about the claim that "dogs trained specifically to fight" are excluded.

information libertarian

Some of the notes would be hilarious if they weren't talking about people's deaths. Like the one under "Poodle."

her husband came looking for her in their car and was killed also

Oh, my god. How horrible!

Mom was in rare form today: very cranky and eager to leave. I finally suggested they load her into her wheelchair and take her on a tour around the block. Don't think they will, though.

Thanks for all your good thoughts, people. {{Buffistas}}

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The usual suspects aren't surprising, except for just how many attacks they involve. What gets me is the 1 reported Pomerian attack. I would love more details about that.

I assume projectile vomiting after a vigorous round of barking was somehow involved.

I'm kind of surprised at the number of Lab attacks, and by the lack of chihuahua ones (though I suppose it may be that only successful attacks are listed rather than ineffectual ones).

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Boss lady apologized to me this morning about being unreceptive to how upset I was. Yay for nights to mull things over. I take back my expletives.

Spent three hours driving to various wholesalers for vases and flowers (Main Wholesale Florist is the bomb, I must say. Excellent quality flowers, friendly and helpful staff above and beyond what our local wholesaler led me to expect, I wanted to hug the guy who seemed to be in charge. When we asked for a good local place to eat, his first response was "Shoot, if we'd known we could have put in your lunch order with ours!". Seriously: hugs.

I am not happy with our DD though, because I learned that there were going to be cocktail tables in need of arrangements in a new area. When I asked if these were additional tables, she wouldn't answer, blamed the vagueness on the caterer, and just reiterated 12, saying that things were fluid. I told her that availability of vases and flowers at this juncture were not, and 12 was all she was getting. How do you not have a rental count two days before the event? How can you not give a straight answer? You are heading this event, are you not? Do you know what is going on, as the head-person? Yeah, didn't think so.

We all hate her so much that we're all kind of mad at the changes she's made that we like. We could forgive the fumbling if she wasn't such a douche about it.

I think I may have read about the Pomeranian attack in another article a while back about biting tendencies and the carelessness of humans; IIRC, it was fatal, and incredibly depressing and upsetting and really, really do not go looking for details.

I've never been bitten or attacked, except by enthusiastic puppies with chewy mouths, but the two attacks I'd known of personally before javachik's were one pit bull, one German Shepherd.

Also, huh. Barely any greyhound attacks, and no whippets at all -- good to know.

Wow, that chart is something. I've been on the fence about pits, because I know a number of really sweet pits and pit crosses. But that statistic is waaaay out of whack. They can't all be abused dogs/dogs trained to fight, can they?

Or maybe they can, I dunno.

That said, it's clear to me this guy loves his GSDs.
