All my sympathy with regards to your mother, Consuela. I've been there, and yet I really, really haven't (mom was at least lucid up to the end and was able to stay in the managed care facility through it).

Me, I went for a long run in the woods this morning, where I saw more rabbits than people, and also saw a great blue heron and a flock of goats. And now I have a big batch of chocolate meringues in the oven.
I re-scheduled my interview for tomorrow, because I don't want these people to think I'm too much of a flake. But I hope they take their time on decision-making: the other firms I've been talking to have been very deliberate (i.e. slow).

successful lunch. I got a giant raspberry protein smoothie (no extra sugar) and get my car inspected. It was a full month late. WHEW! no more fear to be driving around.
I've also managed to get a pile of papers taken care of today. I'll tell you what I am not sure how I can keep this up until 5, especially since the production yard has shut down for the day.

There's going to be a Princess Festival here this weekend, where little girls can dress up as princesses etc. The ads show a teenaged boy in medieval garb, and the teenaged girl, I guess the Princess, is half-hidden behind him. Cause why would you focus on the girl at a Princess Festival? I guess a Princess' first concern is finding a Prince.

No, no. Although it almost seems like it. I went to the inspection place yesterday for an hour, then the mechanic yesterday afternoon, then back to the inspection place for a half hour today. Then I came home and called DPS, and they met me back at the inspection place for another half hour.
Result: He agrees with me and my mechanics that I don't need a new master cylinder or power steering pump. I do need new tires, but I can live with that.
