Today is Harvard graduation, and it's going to be 90s and sunny. I feel bad for the people who will be sitting outside for hours in black gowns.
When I lived in Boston, I remember walking by Harvard's Graduation ceremony (which was outdoors) and hearing a familiar voice. And I turned around and Jim Hensons was up at the podium with Kermit the Frog doing the graduation speech.
Aw!
Not that I went to my graduation. But I would have gone to that one.
Seeing Gunnar playing with your other dogs makes me want to get another dog for Charlie.
Of course, looking at linoleum makes me want to get another dog, but I am not quite that insane yet. (Charlie needs more time to get used to not being mistreated, for one thing)
Aww.
I just came across a funny email exchange with my brother in 2006 when i asked him how his Podunk university got Colbert as their graduation speaker:
Podesto.... Knox Alum... apparently really did make a call to make it happen.... also did so last year to get Illinois' junior senator.... big name, you obviously know but I am too tired to come up with that one...I want to say Obame or something....
I also want to get another dog, but I fear we are about to face health issues with one or both of the cats, so I am doing NOTHING.
I just skipped 300+ posts to say...
hi librarians! I could really use your help if you are so inclined. I posted more details in Press...
Stephanie, I emailed my roommate (who works for the immigration court on asylum cases)--she's on vacation, but I asked if she knew any resources off the top of her head, because it's likely she does. I'll let you know...
So now the local DPS is involved in my feud between the inspection station and my mechanic. Mechanic insists nothing is wrong with my car. Inspection station says "Yuh-huh, but I can't show you the evidence because the mechanic cleaned off the engine yesterday."
Showdown at the inspection station in approximately 1 hour. The question is if I start drinking before or after.
