Up until the punching, it was a real nice party.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This conversation is relevant to my interests, but I am too tired, so instead I present to you: Proof of Kate!

Had a great time in Nashville and was so happy to get to meet and introduce the SO to another Buffista (he liked you bunches!).

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

And, Strix, I will def keep you in the loop! This is through a staffing agency and they were pretty impressed with my resumé, so good job with that!

I LOVE to hear this! My own small contributions to helping people.

ION, time to put the work away and sleeeeeep.

Librarian Warlord

We have moved everything to the new house, and we close on the old house Friday. I am so happy to be at work right now, where I can have my coffee in a certain amount of peace.

King Philip's War

Every one of my ancestors living in Maine were killed in this war except for a mother and son, who where captured and kept by the Native American tribe for 2 years until they were ransomed by an English sea captain, who took them back to England. Where they boarded a ship for Boston, and then walked back to Maine. Now you all know where I get my stubborn from.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm going to have to go back to work today. Despite that after my busy weekend (and rest day yesterday) it feels like a Saturday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My department is having a holiday potluck today, so I now have a little Kitchen Korner in my office -- a coworker is lending me a crockpot, so I have my contribution (butternut-farro "risotto") warming in that, just waiting for me to grate parmesan cheese in.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

man, getting out of bed this morning was hard. in the 40s in the mornings now. Which for Texas is cold, at least until I get used to it.

I packed up 6 sold things to mail out. YAY!. McPhee will get them to the PO today. I love her.

Today's goal at work is to scan scan scan. I have 2 piles from 2 bosses. If I can get this all doen while they are gone, my desk will be clean and I can get back to writing up the processes for all my jobs. I want to present an organized binder of my processes to 5 of my 6 bosses (the 6th is in a different department) next Monday.

hip deep in pie

We're supposed to have a first real snow today. Everyone is all "aaaah Snowpocalypse" even though it's only a few cms. I think everyone is anticipating the usual traffic clusterfuck that comes with the first snow. It's amazing how people can forget to drive in snow in only a few months.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And you call yourselves Canadians?

Yeah, Canadians are supposed to eat snow for breakfast! And, um, back bacon.
