I'm so sorry, Suela. You and your sibs have been ground down so brutally, just doing what is good and necessary for your parents. Vibing respite, and peace, and skilled caregivers to all of you. Can the localistas do anything practical to ease up on any pressure anywhere? Walk your dog, wash your car, water your lawn, give you gin, write you fic? I just hate feeling so helpless to do anything but say, I'm so sorry, it's so hard, I wish it all were some other way for you over and over. The words are so small.

Strength to you and your family, Consuela. My experience with hospice care was truly positive and affirming, as upset as I was (and still, sort of, am).
