Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm up! I have to take Grace for a an xray to check for scoliosis. too bad I have to work all day first.
I am contributing to the work of the office. This makes me happy. Also makes me happy that almost everyone greets me with a smile now, just two weeks in.
People, I am a fucking JOY to have in an office. I tell you what. I may make stupid mistakes now and again, but I lift the MF attitude in a place.
Well, you are the nicest. I'm really glad changing jobs is working out for you!
I was up at 4:30 like I was supposed to be and still barely made it out the door on time. Sigh. But got to my desk by clock-in time, so all is well, I guess.
My notable news of the day:
- The Gray Wolf travel mug I got at Glacier does not keep tea hot overnight
- I'm mixing prints! White blazer with black pinstripes (maybe not that thin, but not thick) over dress with black bodice and black & white print skirt. I think it is working but haven't found a good way to take a picture to get y'all's input.
- You can't just have two bullet points can you? But that's all the news I have. Oh well.
Falling asleep at the computer or is this weird techie speak I know not of?
No, falling asleep at the computer is falling asleep at the computer.
Does no one understand losing-consciousness keysmash anymore?
It's not quite that ASMR or whatever the "that voice gives me physical sensations" that was discussed earlier, but the lynda.com course I was listening to last night was dragging my eyelids leadenly downward. I hope it has some vague memory of where I need to restart, because I'm really not sure.
Yay, msbelle! That's going to make such a difference in your day.
-t, that sounds cute! And I think three bullet points is probably a rule somewhere.
It's only 9:45 and I'm done with today. Oops.
Well, if you are done with the day it's the weekend, right?
I've gone through 50 pages of refi docs and signed most of them. I don't think I know how to sign my name any more.
God, I hope that was everything.
I wouldn't mind crawling under my desk and napping. My officemate is out today....
Does anyone here have any fashion apps they like? And if so, which ones and why? I grabbed a few a while back (that "other people also installed" feature is insidious) and now I'm staring at them wondering what I meant to accomplish.
Mostly I'm blown away that there are people who can contribute looks to these on a frequent basis--I haven't looked at many amateur look blogs, but similar awe. I haven't found anyone that shares a lot of my taste, and so far (on Pose) when it's, say, the belt that I'm really interested, only the dress and shoes are tagged.
Hell, I'm not sure what I want to accomplish. Other than be a) the best dressed senior business systems analyst on the block and b) exert no effort. Oh, spending way way little money is a pretty good c).
Zulily alert, parents edition: They just started a Crayola sale this morning, with some cool art projects and supplies and organizers at about half off.
